About Institute
The Research Institute for International and Regional Cooperation (RIIRC) at the Kazakh-German University is a non-profit organization established in January 2015.
RIIRC has two main activity areas:
- organization of scientific research on foreign and regional policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Central Asian countries, the European Union, as well as Asian countries;
- development of scientific linkages between researchers from RIIRC and experts from international, regional and scientific organizations of Kazakhstan.
The activity of the Institute is to study foreign policy and problems of international cooperation between Kazakhstan and other countries. In particular, the problems of socio-economic cooperation, water and energy use, transport and communication, agrarian and food, environmental, cultural and humanitarian issues, and migration policy.
We organize international scientific and practical conferences, seminars and round tables on a regular basis. The research work is actively attended by the teachers and students of KGU, who can undergo training and internship at the Institute.
