Meet NEXUS National Consultant — Vadim Sokolov

We would like to introduce you to the national consultant of the NEXUS project Vadim Sokolov, Candidate of Geographical Sciences with a major in Land Hydrology and Hydrochemistry, Institute of Geography of the Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Irkutsk, Russia 1992

Vadim Sokolov has professional experience in the field of integrated water resources management and water security in Central Asia and the Caucasus. Worked for national and international clients as an experienced manager or expert for a large number of regional and national projects. For 12 years, he was the regional coordinator of the Global Water Partnership Network for Central Asia and the South Caucasus.

About the project: On December 2, 2021, the project «Training of Central Asian government Officials to promote the assessment of the relationship between water, energy, food and ecosystem resources” was launched at DKU.

The aim of the project is to improve the qualifications of government officials through training with the participation of regional experts in the field of natural resource management. This project is being implemented with the support of the USAID Regional Project on Water Resources and the Environment.
